Bride and groom just after ceremony in Thirsk

I am loving my farm weddings, especially in Yorkshire. This was epic! Get married in the church your family has been married and christened in for years, and the literally hop into your Dad’s back garden, which is basically a farm, where two marquees proudly stand.

Upon first meeting Letty + Will, it was one of those moments you have as a photographer where it just felt right. What they wanted from their wedding photography was exactly what I offer, a relaxed approach, friendly without being intrusive.

On the day I had my good friend Tom from www.tombarkerphotography.com to come and second shoot with me. Having known and worked together for years, he knew my style and having a wedding to cover with two photographers means the couple get the full story as I put it. So there is a recommendation for larger weddings. Multiple locations as this would have been very hard to cover to the extent that was needed if I was on my own. I would have spent a great deal of time travelling instead of shooting.

One of my favourite moments of this wedding was, just as Letty was ready she held up two pairs of shoes, one leopard print and one with jelly beans printed on. She asked the opinion of her bridesmaids which to wear. They did ask in return which are the most comfortable, leopard print it was then.

That’s what I love about this wedding, the little details that people often obsess about are nothing compared to the commitment you are about to make. Consequently, the images I delivered were full of life and the story is truly king with every moment as real and honest as it was on the day. Have a look at the gallery below to see what I mean.
